These items are the peripheral devices that are used WITH the 'Control' device. These devices are where you will save the energy using the Smart Strip. If these items are not plugged into the 'Automatically Switched Outlets' of the Smart Strip then do not put a check mark in the corresponding box as the Smart Strip is not saving you energy on those items.

The values we used can be found via the Standby Power government website. The exact values are from the 'Average (W)' column of the chart and they are either the 'Standby' or 'Ready' power consumption numbers. If the 'Standby' or 'Ready' values were not available then we used the 'Off' values.

* For the Blue-ray Player we used CNET's review of Sony's BDP-S570 The numbers can be found on the second page of the review. Specifically the Standby with the quick start option on.

** For the Fax, Laser we used the 'ON' numbers because they represent the 'Standby' power draw.

*** For the Modems we used the 'ON' values because in most situations the modem is intentionally never turned off.
